These are people who have worked alongside Mike. Their words, lightly edited for length.
As a former special education teacher, I spent five years seeing how much leadership shapes what happens for students and the people who teach them. I've worked alongside Mike on the ATD Austin board, where he serves as president, and I've watched how he listens, brings people together, and invests in the people around him.
Mike understands that strong schools need supported teachers, engaged families, and leaders who recognize that every student learns differently and every one of them deserves a real shot. That's the steady, people-first leadership our schools need. I'm proud to support Mike Randolph for Del Valle ISD Trustee.
I've taught in public schools for more than 16 years, so I know what students need to thrive, what teachers need to feel supported, and how much it matters for families and educators to work together. I'm also Mike's sister-in-law, which means I've watched him up close for a long time.
He's a father of two boys in Del Valle schools, and he solves problems and works through conflict for a living. What stands out is that he doesn't sit on the sidelines. When he saw a chance to strengthen parent involvement at Gilbert Elementary, he started a PTO so parents and teachers would have a real voice in decisions.
He listens, he collaborates, and he does the work. Del Valle would be lucky to have him.
